Comments :
This Album Marks the Arrival of Bruce Dickinson as vocalist in the band. Before joining Iron Maiden Bruce Dickinson sang for the band Sampson as Bruce Bruce. This was a very controversial album written by the band and was falsely labelled as a Satanic Album due to its title and the songs Children Of the Damned and The Number Of The Beast. The band has widely denied these speculations and by listening to the words of the songs you can judge for yourself that Iron Maiden are not Devil Worshipers. This Album in my opinion is one of the best albums they did.
Ironically, the song that got the band labelled as Satanic Worshipers, The Number Of The Beast starts with a quote from Revelations ch. XIII V. 18 :
|
"Woe to you, Oh Earth and Sea, for the Devil sends the beast with wrath, because he knows that time is short... Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast for it is a human number, its number is Six hundred and sixty six."
