Comments :
Following the departure of Adrian Smith, the band hired Janick Gers, a friend of Bruce Dickinson from his album Tattooed Millionnaire, to fill the void.
They took two years before recording a new album because they needed time to go through the old material and get used to playing with each other.
This album marks a return to the basics in terms of sound for Iron Maiden. Less Synths and a more heavy sound. Bruces voice is very different from his other albums, much more dark.
